Microblading post care is very important to give a fully healed appearance and a longer, natural beautiful look. If after-care instructions are not followed, this may result in infections, pigment loss, or discoloration.

  • On the day of the treatment, gently rinse the eyebrows with neutral soap (children’s). Then, apply a very thin layer of ointment with clean hands.
  • Repeat this procedure three times during the day.

  • Apply the ointment two times a day after washing your face
  • During the first seven days, absolutely no creams, make up (foundation, powder) in the eyebrow area
  • Avoid workouts that involve a lot of sweating
  • No swimming, sauna, facial massage, hot bath or jacuzzi
  • No sun tanning or salon tanning
  • No anti-aging products or facial products containing alpha hydroxy (AHAs), Retin-A,Lactic or Glycolic Acids
  • Do not pick, peel, or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness. Let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment.

  • Avoid light therapies, chemical peeling, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, and creams that contain regeneration factors
  • Always avoid laser treatment over the treated area (Fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns
  • Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to faster pigment fading
  • Always protect the eyebrows from the sun with SPF

Procedure and what to expect

• Microblading is a two-step process. The first step is the initial procedure and the second step is your 6-8 week touch up visit.

• The microblading procedure will take about 2-3 hours, depending on the type of service.

• After the procedure, it will take about fifteen minutes to an hour for numbness to disappear. You will experience very minimal swelling, burning, and soreness. This is normal and it will last up to 1-3 days.

• Immediately following your procedure, the microblading will appear to be darker, bolder and more intense in color due to swelling. This is normal. This will last 7-10 days until the skin heals and peels and naturally exfoliates.

• During the healing period, there will be itchiness, scabbing and flaking of the skin. Allow scab or dry skin to fall off by itself. DO NOT scratch, pick, or peel the scab.

• The healing process takes about 4-6 weeks and a softer, lighter color will appear after healing. After the second and third week you may see disappearance of color and empty spots. This is due to the new skin forming over the treated area.

• The two visits MUST be completed to achieve the semi-permanent brow. If you do not return for your second visit, it is a job half done and a less than satisfactory result.

• After your second visit, you will love your new eyebrows and are set for about one to two years. This may vary due to different skin type.
